Early Intervention Program (EIP)

Adults with asymptomatic HIV infections, and those at high risk for contracting HIV, may qualify for care in the EIP. EIP provides HIV related medical care including antiretroviral therapy, case management, and health education, with the goal of helping clients manage their disease successfully.

EIP is an interdisciplinary program focusing on assessing and meeting the needs of HIV infected clients through coordinated care. Clients will be evaluated, treated and followed by a case management team that includes a physician, a nurse and a social worker

Minimum Eligibility

  • Resident of San Joaquin County
  • HIV positive persons and their partners and/or family members

  • Medical Care related to HIV
  • Case Management
  • HIV/AIDS Education
  • Hepatitis Screening
  • Sexually Transmitted Disease Screening
  • Tuberculosis Screening
  • Support Groups
  • Drug Assistance Program (ADAP)
  • Laboratory Services
  • Referrals to outside agencies and other community services
  • Harm Reduction Support and Counseling
  • Medication Compliance Support
  • Benefits Eligibility Services
